PAGANIZER To Release New Album In June
May 17, 2004Swedish death metallers PAGANIZER have completed work on their fifth album, "No Divine Rapture", tentatively due in June through Xtreem Music. The CD was recorded at Soundlab Studio with producer Mieszko Talarzcyk (NASUM) and features nine songs, including a freshly-penned track in Swedish called "Ingen Utväg". "Anyone into PAGANIZER will probably agree with us that this is our most crushing album to date and the cover art kicks some serious ass as well," the band write on their web site.
In other PAGANIZER news, "Plans for the coming months are to find a suitable lead guitarist," the group write. "The decision to go on as a trio has been cancelled as we feel we will not do justice to the new material on stage as just a trio. Suitable guitarists will be auditioned throughout the summer and once again we have been forced to skip on festival gigs we have been offered. Make no mistake, next year PAGANIZER will be totally committed to play live in as many countries as possible. Too long we have not been able to attend offered gigs and tours but after the new album all effort will be out into bringing the death metal of PAGANIZER to a stage near you.
"Apart from above-mentioned agenda we are currently also looking into the possibility to get our previous albums released in Europe, possibly as a two in one album featuring both 'Promoting Total Death' and 'Dead Unburied' as well as some unreleased bonus material. We are also planning to print another batch of the 'Promoting Total Death' shirt finally, completely in the same crappy style as the original!"
